What are the YRYM HT grill mat made

How does it leave grill marks if the grill bars are covered by the grill mat? The hear isn't all evenly distributed over the entire mat. The hot points are still on the grill grates themselves since they hold and conduct the heat for longer than the mat itself. The grill marks aren't quite as prominent as without a mat in my experience but they still definitely show up. The trick is the temperature. Higher temperatures will make the entire mat very hot and sear the entire surface, whereas lower temps (500 or less) will give you grill marks as the mat temperature will not be so hot as to entirely sear the food surface. I purchased a set of copper grill mats from this link and found they worked better. I recommend everyone to try it.

what are the grill mats made out of? Hi, these are made out of a high concentration and thickness of PTFE (Teflon), Fibers.  PFOA-PTFE-PFOS-Can-Lead-to-Thyroid-Heart- Liver-and-Immune-System-Disorders.html  Made out of chemicals proven to be harmful to the human body and completely unnecessary for cooking. "While PTFE is stable and nontoxic at lower temperatures, it begins to deteriorate after the temperature of cookware reaches about 260 °C (500 °F), and decomposes above 350 °C (662 °F).[51] The degradation by-products can be lethal to birds" grill tools . How about we just cook on a grill like a regular non lazy person ?

Will it work on an infrared grill? Yes it will. Simply follow the recommendations laid out above and you will not have any issues. Thank you for your question!  Doesn't the mat turn the grill into a frying pan since it acts like a frying surface?  Not really! It does allow slight grill marks on food like steaks. We really love it, though. What a difference in "clean-up". The mat just easily washes off in the sink and is ready for the next use and the actual grill plates stay very clean. We have two of them and use them every time. Great for doing veggies copper grill mat l I suppose it could be considered a frying pan. Surprisingly, there are still grill marks on the food.

The grill mat prevent s a lot of crud from falling on the briquets. For burgers that can cause flareups. If the burgers are fatty, there can be an accumulation of fat on the mat. I was able to "spoon" is off with a spatula into a little pot. However the burgers were the best I have made and fish on the mat was easy and also came on delicious. I have the mat covering only 1/2 the grill so that I can still toast buns and cook hot dogs, etc. By the way, veggies can easily be cooked up on the mat even if you cook the old way on the other half of the grill. Consider the mat as an option to use as you choose.

how to use grill mat

Is this grill mat a coated fabric or is it a sheet of Teflon with no reinforcement? Answer: It's not fabric. It's very bendy which is great. Easy to slide in and out to give it a quick rinse when your pie bubbles over.    How many times can it be used before needs replacing? Have only had mine for a month or so but anything that spills on it washes of easily so far. I expect it will last for sometime with normal use. I use it in my oven only. Once it is placed in oven it can last several years. I only remove it to clean it .  Depends on how often you use your oven and how many spills. I clean mine after each spill and it lasts a long, long time.  i use it for months. Occasionally take it out and wash it off when needed . We replace it yearly, but we do use our oven almost everyday. The liner does a good job when it comes to spill overs. Easy clean up. A good product. It is a perfect fit to our oven.  I've had these kinds of liners before and after awhile they're just worn through where the element sits on it I guess from the heat. When it gets like that then I replace it, so there's really no set time. Hope this helps!

Are they meant to go on the floor of an electric oven? Yes. I have used it under the electric coil. That being said with it being that close to the heat source it does wear out faster and if there are heavy spills they sometimes fade in that spot. I currently have a wall oven so my coil is in the top so it's not directly near the heat.  yes they go on the floor of the electric oven try it you will love them.  I don't know about electric ovenes but they say no to gas oven floors.  Yes, underneath the floor element. grill tools It should raise up. If the oven has heating rack at bottom. Goes under.. follow instruction on the box. Yes. I took the racks out of the oven, lifted the electric element in the bottom and inserted the liner. It is fantastic. When anything drips on it, I wait until it is cool, slide it out, wash it and return it.

Yes, they slide under the heating elements.  Do I have to remove them when toasting or using the broiler? I have never removed them for anything. I do love them though. I love when I make pizza, or pies the mess is so much easier to clean up! Check the temperature guide, and see how high the temp will take.  No, leave it in. They only time I remove it is to clean it or self-clean the oven. I like it so I bought them for my children . I just leave them in the oven except to wash after baking a messy pie. I really don't know about toasting, where to buy grill mat but have broiled with no ill effect. The only time you have to remove is when the oven is in self clean mode.  Is this good for a breville bov845bss smart oven pro convection toaster oven. if elements on bottom and this has to be under it, does that mean you cannot use it to place food directly on either.

Not sure how to answer. The liner goes underneath the element on the oven floor to catch spills. I have not used it in direct contact with food.  The instructions tell you that you can use them safely up to 500 degrees so, its best not to go over 450 degrees with them. Just remove after any spills and clean. Then replace back in the oven after cleaning. If you ever used the alumnin ones, these work pretty much the same way. You can order them singularly or up to packs of 3. I ordered the 3 pack and shared the two others with 2 different neighbors. I just replaced my alumnium one with one of these several months back when receiving same. Haven't had any problems with it when following their instructions.   I bought these for my daughter’s new oven. They are thin so I’m not sure they would hold up to that. I asked someone else how they liked them and he said they have to be replaced pretty often due to repeatedly high heat exposure. Guess that’s why there’s a 3 pack . Sorry I wasn’t more helpful.

grill mat can be used for oven coils

I've been using  a piece of grill mat which I bought from YRYM HT store on Amazon for several months and have ad no issues with uneven baking so far. No, heat seems to be evenly distributed in my gas oven, regardless of this liner being on lower rack. I don't know, but I suspect it would. I put the liner on the bottom or "floor" of the oven, to catch any spills. I also bake things that are likely to spill on a large cookie sheet. I had a liner before this one so I have not noticed any difference. I have the liner on the bottom of the oven under the heating element not on the rack. The liner fits on bottom of oven, not on rack.

Very easy to wipe clean! I absolutely love mine. The only thing I had to do was sut an opeing to match the heat vents in the oven floor, one on each side. I recommend these liners! Very easy. Wait til the oven has cooled, then wipe with damp paper towel. grill accessories  Scrape off with a spachla then wipe off with a damp cloth. In the description for the fitfab oven liner, it states that the mat is safe up to 500 degrees and is safe for toaster ovens. Not familiar with what you have purchased, but if the heating element would not actually come in direct contact with the mat, I would suppose it would be okay. You might want to contact fitfab. While I'm not familiar with your oven, the packaging states safe for microwaves and toaster ovens, gas and electric ovens..safe up to 500F.

FDA approved & Eco friendly...call company to get a more definitive reply. Hi there, the instructions for FitFabHome Oven Liners are as follows:  For all gas ovens & electric ovens with a hidden heating element, place on lowest rack (NOT oven bottom).  For electric ovens with a visible (exposed) heating element, place underneath the heating element at bottom of oven. It is critical to follow these instructions for safe use of the liner. Thanks for your question! Not very thick is very flexible but you cant rip it .Where to buy grill mat ......it really is a good product you wont regret it if you purchase it.

Don’t know sorry , but it’s not what it’s intended for.Not for stove top. It's an oven liner. Does this sit on top of the oven coils? Or underneath the bottom coils? The photos seems like the liner is on the coils.... The electrical element lifts up slightly in my stove. The mat slips right under. Works beautifully. When soiled, just remove, wash and dry and return to oven. It sits on your bottom rack of the oven - not on the bottom of the oven, so you lose the use of that rack.

How to prevent food poisoning when grilling

Barbecue is a quite interesting way for workmates or families outside activity. However. There are thousands of Americans becoming victims of food poisoning, which is often due to eating under-cooked meat, or infecting bacteria which normally exists in beef, meat and chicken. It is quite easily to get food poisoning when eating under-cooked meat as the meat is not cooked well without enough high temperature or time to kill the germs or bacteria. This article is to give some food safety tips for grilling meat.

1. Store meat and poultry in the refrigerator before you are ready to grill them. It is healthy to freeze any ground meat or poultry that you dont cook within 24 hours.

2. Clean up your hands at least 30 seconds with soap before preparing food and after deal with raw meat.

3. It is of great importance to separate food. You should ensure raw meat separately from vegetables, fruits and other foods before grilling, which can avoid bacterial cross-contamination. And it necessary to use different chopping board when cutting raw meat and vegetables. After cutting food, you should use hot water and soap to wash the chopping board as well. And remember that use different dishes to serve raw food and cooked food.

4. Cook meat and poultry through. Under-cooked meat is the most likely poison food. If you want to ensure all food are well cooked, you can insert a food thermometer into the thickest part of the meat and keep grilling it till it reaches the below temperatures:

Whole chicken or turkey: 165 F
Chicken or turkey breasts (boneless): 165 F
Pork chops, tenderloins, or roasts: 145 F for at least 4 minutes of resting time

Ground chicken or turkey: 165 F
Fish: 145 F
Ground pork and organ meats: 160 F
Hot dogs: 165 F or steaming hot
Beef roasts or steaks: Medium rare 145 F; medium 160 F; well done 170 F
Hamburgers, ground beef: 160 F

You can use a piece of grill mat to prevent food sticking to the grill and in case of food seared.

5. Cover the food that left after eating. It is a good habit to cover left food to prevent insects to eat your meal. If possible, youd better put the left food in the refrigerator as soon as possible to prevent bacteria breeding.

how to make perfect burgers and hot dogs when grilling

Burgers and hot dogs are ordinary main food for grilling. Some people may think it is quite easy to grill them during spring picnics and barbecues. However, in fact, these main food is eas to mess up as they are easy to be overcooked or straight-up dry because of carelessness. This article is to give some tips for how to grill burgers and hot dogs perfectly.
